Trading Standards or to give it its full name, The Trading Standards Institute and before that the Trading Standards Administration and even before that the Incorporated Society of Weights and Measures which was founded in eighteen eighty one is the organisation which protects the consumer and those in business from below par service and goods.
Today Trading Standards are working with many other organisations, forging partnerships with consumer groups for to uphold the highest possible standards in the United Kingdom.
